LAUREL ANN LOWE

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Laurel joined the GAT team as a part-time graphic designer before earning her position as Creative Director. Her previous experience includes event marketing, social media content creation, and audience development for theatrical houses, as well as a range of project management and marketing services for Kennesaw State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a B.A. in English, and expects to complete her M.A. in Applied Professional Writing in 2020.

Though she grew up around hunters, Laurel did not own her first firearm until after she started recreational shooting while dating her husband James. Thanks to their friends, they accidentally developed a tradition of shooting something new after milestone life events, including a .50 BMG to celebrate their wedding. Laurel and James live in Georgia with their two rescue mutts, Gunnar & Indiana Bones.

Laurel is a published poet and a playwright, as well as a community arts advocate. She serves on the Board of her local community theatre and is the founder of a free children’s theatre initiative that provides free and cheap opportunities for youth K-12 to participate in performing arts.
